Fujifilm HS-10 - Wide To Tele

I was playing around with the HS-10 today and looking at the zoom range.

Basically, I was going from full wide to full telephoto in the same scene.

See what looks like smoke in the middle of the frame ?  24 mm.

It's a small mountain being demolished. 720 mm.

Same as above. 720 mm and 2 X Digital Zoom.

24 mm.

  1. Hi Dave,

Amazing photos these are. I'm planning to get an HS10 pretty soon. Did u you use a separate or add-on lens for these shots? Thanks!

  2. Apart from the original package what addons did you use to make these great shots? Thanks

  3. Ccagent, Hi.

    Thank you.

I really enjoy the HS-10 but the HS-20 EXR will be out soon. Might be worth waiting for that as I think the speed of use will be a little better.

These shots are simply from the camera without any add-ons or filters, but they have been edited. Mostly for a little contrast (less or more), sharpening, etc.

    Cheers.

  4. Brand new to this. Thinking about getting an HS20 soon. I really like the picture of the farm workers and then the close up of the workers face. Just wondering how far away the actual picture was taken. What about the mountain, or perhaps the bird on a wire.

  5. Brandon, Hi.

I would guess that I was somewhere around 15 metres from the farm worker, Maybe a little more. With the birds, probably 25 to 30 metres away.

The picture with the mountain is easier to work out as the distance between the two points can be measured on Google Earth. It works out to 950 metres.

    Cheers.
